Phantasmic Fiend - Phantoon- by AetherEch0s Phantasmic Fiend - Phantoon- by AetherEch0s
Contest entry for metroid-club [link]

Phantoon is a Super Metroid boss found in the Wrecked Ship. It is a supernatural ghost entity that is intangible and invulnerable except for its single eye. It is this eye that, when open, serves as its connection to the material world and can be damaged.

-all rights of Samus, Phantoon and the Metroid series are reserved to Nintendo-

I like it. That thing vs. Samus with those nice blue flames--gotta love this. My fave thing about this art is the great blue flames and the awesome appearance of Phantoon. Phantoon is so detailed, the pose fits so well, and the blue flames are frikin gorgeous. What can I say? This one is awesome, nicely done. An instant fave, to be certain. I'll bet this would make a sick wallpaper.

just wish i put more time into Samus, if you look real close she is really just thrown together. I rushed her into the picture so i could submit it to a contest.

But if you dont zoom in, you really dont notice it lol

I noticed, but I was focused more on the boss and the fire.
But yeah, I'd revise it if time permits.
It's on the borderline of being perfect...

yeah, it would be as simple as covering her up with a piece of the floor and bluring the edges. Then id just have to draw her in and spend more time on the detail.
