| After Samus Aran defeated the Metroid Prime (a metroid which lived and thrived on the corruption of a substance called Phazon) it pulled her into itself, stripping away the Phazon which had attached itself to her PowerSuit. This final overload of Phazon caused its own demise, or so it seemed.
